 Proscreensavers.com is a site dedicated to helping people find screensavers for their computer.
Screensavers were originally created to protect a CRT Monitor from “burn in”. Read more about the history of screensavers at wikipedia.
Since monitor technology has improved and new monitor technologies (i.e. LCD monitors) were created, screensavers have become more of a method of expressing yourself and protecting your computer data through the use of screensaver passwords.
Proscreensavers was created by Dave Crowther, a Semi-Professional photographer, as a method of distributing his photography outside of normal photography and art-related channels.
Since the release, Proscreensavers has grown from the creative release for Dave and other local photographers to a distribution of screensavers from photographers and screensaver companies from all over the world.
